I’ve heard so many people use the word Industry 4.0.
I have seen many machine manufacturers/dealers who, by leveraging the 2018 Budget Law, have filled their mouths with the word.
And then I met many carpenters who thought it was enough to buy a CNC machine to become a 4.0 company.
But are we sure we have understood what INDUSTRY 4.0 really means?
Industry 4.0 doesn’t mean buying a new machine at all.
Industry 4.0 first of all means adopting a CRAFTMANSHIP MENTALITY that has guided us for decades and questioning it, changing it, updating it on the basis of a world that has profoundly changed and on the basis of new technologies that today can be in the hands of many.
As soon as we understand the true meaning of Industry 4.0 and all the ideas that drive this FOURTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION, I am sure that there will be a desire to invest in CNC machines.
But at that point the choice will become CONSCIOUS, and part of a GROWTH PATH which will be STRUCTURED, PLANNED and oriented to really become a CARPENTRY 4.0
