Don’t worry… The market decides the prices!

Maybe I’m too sensitive … maybe … but when I hear a carpenter tell me “the market makes the price” it breaks my heart.
Yes, yes, I swear.
Does the market really decide the price?
So does the market also decide the prices of Ikea?
Ford or Ferrero also rely on the market, right?
But do you understand that it doesn’t make sense?!

The truth is that anyone who knows how to do the calculations, decides the price.

Those who do not know how to do the math, however, need a change of responsibility; it’s a reason to continue in ignorance, not knowing how to do it.
Rather than learning how to do the math, it is much more convenient to hide behind harmful beliefs such as “the market decides the price”.

The market would decide the price if there were conscious prices on the market based on analytical production calculations, but when there are companies on the market that do not even know how much their production costs are, each price becomes a result of chance and improvisation.

Doing business by valuing their products in an approximate and superficial way can only lead to impoverishment, to the point of not being able to find the margin to invest in your company and keep it abreast of the times.

The market does not decide the price; the market sweeps away those who do not know how to decide the price.
