Nowadays lots of customers come in with their brains blown out and say the magic phrase “I don’t want to do maintenance”.
How many times have you heard this request?
How did you respond? Do you have a strategy to use in cases like this?
Here are some questions you could ask …
Dear customer … Do you occasionally take a shower? Do you brush your teeth? In other words, do you maintain your body?
Dear customer … Do you change your car tyres from time to time? Do you have your car serviced ? In other words, do you maintain your car ?
Dear customer … Do you occasionally wash dishes and glasses, or do you eat on plastic plates with cardboard forks?
Dear customer … do you occasionally use a cloth on your furniture to remove dust? Or do you use a cloth to clean the windows and have a look outside the house?
Dear customer … Do you sometimes prune the hedge or water the garden or cut the lawn?
Dear customer … do you realize that everything – just everything (apart from stones and poop) – must be maintained … even your relationship with your wife must be maintained …
Then dear customer … WHAT ARE WE TALKING ABOUT???
